Sony released the first trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage on Monday giving fans the first peak at the carnage to come.
The last time Sony released anything concerning the follow up to 2018’s Venom was last when they revealed the title to the film. The first film was a surprise hit, earning over $850 million worldwide and just like a turd in the wind was a fun superhero movie–slash–human-parasite comedy that was a blast to watch.
The trailer finds Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock, adjusting to life with Venom, which is soon tested by an imprisoned killer named Cletus Kasady, who becomes Carnage in front of the witnesses there to see Kasady be executed for his horrible crimes.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is directed by Andy Serkis, that sees the return of Tom Hardy, Woody Harrelson, Michelle Williams and Reid Scott. The film will also introduce Naomie Harris as Spider-Man villain Shriek. Kelly Marcel wrote the script with Tom Hardy getting a story credit who is taking a more active role and development in the character of Eddie and Venom.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage will be released to theaters on September 24, 2021.
Cast: Tom Hardy, Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham, and Woody Harrelson
