The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two-time periods in X-Men: Days Of Future Past. The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from the past, “X-Men: First Class,” in order to change a major historical event and fight in an epic battle that could save our future.
X-Men Days Of Future Past will show the Professor X/Magneto relationship in two ways in the future, the pair will be allies, they look old, tired, defeated and desperate as they inform Wolverine that he must travel back in time and reunite them in the past if there is any hope of saving the future for mutants.
In the past, Wolverine will have his work cut out for him, with the younger professor and a younger and much stronger Magneto clearly at odds with each other. Xavier seems to have taken personally the alliance that Mystique has with Magneto. While Magneto lets the professor know that he should have paid more attention to those he cared about. Xavier, seems unsure of himself in the past, while Magneto of the past has clearly embraced his role.
By the looks of the latest trailer, Bryan Singer seems to have brought back an intensity and welcomed return to the movie franchise in which he started.
