NFL and NFL Referees Reach New Deal

NFL Preseason Scores WK1 – 2012

The No. 1 overall draft pick threw his first NFL pass for a long touchdown, just like Peyton Manning in 1998, then led Indianapolis to two more touchdowns. Al Davis 1929-2011

The Hall of Famer, Al Davis died at his home in Oakland, Saturday. He was 82.

Mr. Davis, who bucked league authority time and again and won three Super Bowl titles during his half-century in professional football. Read more »

NFL Preseason Week 4

The last week of preseason games begin on Thursday with one game to be played on Friday. Then the games begin to count starting on Thursday September 8th when the Saints play the Packers.

NFL’s Preseason WK1 Schedule

The players ratified a new, 10-year CBA on Thursday, hours after it was finalized. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith will sign the CBA on Friday morning at the front steps of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.
The only game canceled by the lockout was to be played Sunday, (Hall of fame Game) between the Chicago Bears and St. Louis Rams. The rest of the NFL’s preseason will be played as scheduled. You can read below who’s playing and where for the first week of the preseason. Read more »


NFL and Players Going back to work!

NFL players voted to OK a final deal Monday. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said “This is a long time coming, and football’s back and that’s the great news for everybody.” The sides worked through the weekend and wrapped up the details Monday morning on a final pact that runs for 10 years, without an opt-out clause. NFL Labor Talks

According to NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora, an NFLPA source believes that if progress continues, the players could vote on an agreement Tuesday. Owners would have to sign off on the new CBA language, too.

Sources involved in the negotiations also told La Canfora that they believe it’s possible the league year will start by Wednesday and training camps could open by Friday. Depending on the timing of a full agreement being reached and a judge signing off on a global settlement, it’s also possible that free agency and training camp could open simultaneously, sources said.
