Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated television series created by George Lucas and produced by Lucasfilm Animation. The series debuted on the Cartoon Network in October, 2008.

The series is produced in high-definition, and has a 22-minute runtime.

The series deals with the various conflicts between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, both being secretly manipulated by Supreme Chancellor Palpatine aka Darth Sidious.
