Star Trek TNG and Aliens Crossover Series

We’re all familiar with Ellen Ripley and her battles with the Alien and in 2017 we’ll get to see Captain Picard and the rest of the TNG crew take them on.

It was announced over in London that Captain Picard, Data, Worf, and the entire crew from Star Trek: The Next Generation will encounter the Aliens from the popular movie franchise in a brand new miniseries from IDW Publishing and Dark Horse Comics.

The new miniseries will be written by Scott Tipton and David Tipton as they crossover the iconic characters from both science fiction series for the very first time. TNG fans will also get to see the Borg and the Romulans play a key part in the plot. The crossover event will be titled “Acceptable Losses” when it hit store shelves.

IDW publishing editor Chris Cerasi had this to say about the two franchises crossing over. “We’re beyond excited to team up with Dark Horse for this unique miniseries, with Scott and David writing and J.K. handling art, the blending of the Star Trek and Aliens worlds is guaranteed to be a fun, scary, thrill-a-minute ride!”

The comic crossover “Acceptable Losses” won’t appear at your local comic book store until the spring of 2017 which just happens to be Star Trek: The Next Generation’s 30th anniversary.

What makes this new miniseries sound exciting is the very creepy thought of a facehugger impregnating with a Borg, Romulan or even a Klingon and seeing what kind of results it would cause. If this comic book crossover goes well maybe there’s a chance an actual novel could happen.
