On Friday, Pixar released the first full length trailer for the long awaited Incredibles 2 that gives us a better look at the plot and first look at the villain.
In The Incredibles it was Bob Parr/ Mr. Incredible who took center stage, but with Incredibles 2, Elastigirl will take the lead while Bob stays home to take care of the kids. After watching the trailer I began wondering who has the tougher assignment Mr. Incredible looking after Jack, jack or Elastigirl out trying to keep the streets safe from crime.
The big surprise if you want to call it that was the reveal of the movies villain, the mysterious Screenslaver. Exactly what his plan is and how the Parr family will defeat him will have to wait until June 15th when Incredibles 2 hits theaters. After having to wait 14 years for the sequel, Incredibles 2 looks like an amazing movie that should be fun for the entire family and the superhero in all of us.
Cast: voices of Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Huck Milner, Samuel L. Jackson, Bob Odenkirk, Catherine Keener, Jonathan Banks, Sophia Bush, Isabella Rossellini
Official Synopsis for Incredibles 2
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
