Marvel’s sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron, is not set to begin filming until early March of 2014 and while director Joss Whedon continues making preparations there was a possible casting leak.
Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson are all set to reprise their roles, while a couple of new characters will be added.
Samuel L. Jackson while giving an interview may have let it slip as to who maybe playing one of those new characters. “I don’t think we begin shooting before March of next year. I know we’re shooting in London, that James Spader is Ultron and going to be the bad guy, and that we added Ms. Elizabeth Olsen who will play the Scarlet Witch, but I don’t know what she’s doing, if she’s on the inside or the outside. I haven’t seen a script.”
Aaron Taylor-Johnson has also been rumored to be in negotiations to play, Quicksilver. Marvel however will not confirm if either Elizabeth or Aaron have been offered the roles.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters May 1, 2015.
