Both superhero movies Batman vs Superman and Ant-Man have some casting rumours about possible actors playing some key roles in both movies.

Joaquin Phoenix

Warner Brothers is considering Joaquin Phoenix for a role in Batman vs Superman as the film’s antagonist, widely rumoured to be Lex Luthor. Phoenix was most recently seen falling in love with a computer in the Spike Jonze movie Her. There’s no guarantee Phoenix will take the role even if Warner Brothers offers him the part as he is was also considering an offer to star in director Gus Van Sant‘s, Sea of Trees.

The studio recently signed Gal Gadot to play Wonder Woman in the up coming Man of Steel sequel. Director Zack Snyder has said he’s not making an adaptation of the comic, The Dark Knight Returns by frank Miller, but will use it as inspiration. The film is set for a 2015 release.

Paul Rudd is supposedly in talks with the studio for the role of Hank Pym in Edgar Wright’s Ant-Man. Rudd, according to rumours has beaten out Joseph Gordon-Levitt who himself has recently signed on to produce and star in Warner Brothers “Sandman”.  Paul Rudd can be seen currently in “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues”.

Ant-Man hits theaters July 31, 2015, no plot details are currently available. Hank Pym invents a substance that will let him alter his size from nearly microscopic to gigantic.
