The Japanese film monster Godzilla is having its film franchise rebooted with this new interpretation, after the first U.S. version in 1998 wasn’t so well received.
The film retells the origin of Godzilla in current times as a “terrifying force of nature” in a style that’s faithful to the Toho series of Godzilla films.
The film is directed by British filmmaker Gareth Edwards and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.
Scheduled to be released on May 16, 2014 in the U.S.
