Nathan Fillion on The Big Bang Theory

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of The Big Bang Theory and the star of another television show that appears on a different network that I also enjoy will be making a cameo as himself.

Normally the networks don’t like one of there stars to make a guest appearance on a show that airs on a competing network, but it seems that’s just what Nathan Fillion will be doing when he makes his cameo on “The Big Bang Theory” on February 19th.

Nathan Fillion who currently stars as “Richard Castle” on ABC’s hit show entitled what else, “Castle” will be making a guest star appearance on CBS’s hit comedy “The Big Bang Theory”.

The episode entitled “The Comic Book Store Regeneration” has Raj and Leonard thinking they spot Fillion in a restaurant and consider asking him for a photograph. Also, everyone prepares for Stuart’s comic book store reopening, but Wolowitz receives some shocking news. While Penny attempts to teach Sheldon how to “let it go” but can’t follow her own advice when she learns something infuriating about Amy.

Fillion’s appearance on “The Big bang Theory” obviously won’t have any mention or reference to his character of “Richard Castle”. Fillion is also well known for other roles on such shows as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly. If I was betting man Raj and Leonard will be geeking out over Fillion more for his role on “Firefly” especially since you’ve heard the show mentioned numerous times of the course of the shows history.

Reggie’s Take:
Going off of the synopsis of the show I’m going to guess this is where the show it self will be dealing with passing of Howard’s mom, Mrs Wolowitz. Anyone who’s a fan of The Big Bang Theory knows that the actress who provided the voice of Mrs. Wolowitz, Carol Ann Susi passed away back in November of 2014 after a battle with cancer.

This is what I’ve been waiting for from the writers and producers of The Big Bang Theory as to how they would handle the passing of Carol Ann Susi and her character of Mrs Wolowitz.

My initial thought after hearing of her passing was how would the creators handle it all. I didn’t want them to try and replace her with a different actress as it wouldn’t be the same and any true fan of the show would know it wouldn’t be the same no matter how well done it may of been.

By letting the character of Mrs Wolowitz also pass away, I think will give the character of Howard more depth and open up plenty more story lines for the show. Who knows maybe we will get to actually meet Howard’s father that they have talked about, but have yet to meet or know much about.
