Star Trek Beyond -Update

Filming for the third rebooted Star Trek movie got underway last month in Vancouver and very little is known or been seen and now we get a small glimpse.

We get a good look at Chris Pine (Kirk) and Anton Yelchin (Chekov) in what are obviously some new uniforms. They look to be the full version of the close up image we got from director Justin Lin when he sent out a photo confirming the title to the sequel.

We also get a good look at Simon Pegg (Scotty) in his engineering red uniform, which would suggest that the uniforms being worn by Pine and Yelchin are for a specific reason especially since the set would suggest the three are on some sort of away mission.

In case you don’t recognize the alien on set that is actress Sofia Boutella from Kingsman: The Secret Service. There is still no word on exactly what alien race or her characters name, but as we’ve heard “Star Trek Beyond” will feature all new alien races.

One site has posted images on what looks like a possible crash of a Star Fleet vessel, not necessarily be the Enterprise and this may very well be dealing with that particular scene.

Star Trek Beyond opens in theaters on July 8, 2016.
