Have you ever watched a Star Wars fan film before? No! Then you may want to give this one a watch as TK-436 gives you a unique look into a Stormtrooper’s life that’s never been done before.
TK-436: A Stormtrooper Story is a 12-minute short directed by Samtubia and Samgoma Edwards who’s film has finally been made available online in a director’s cut.
TK-436 takes a close look at the day-to-day grind of being a Stormtrooper tasked with enforcing the evil plans of the Empire. The old saying that war is hell is not to far off as this short film does what I feel is an impressive job of assuming a unique perspective.
The 12-minute fan film was one of six winners at the Fan Film Awards during Star Wars Celebration over in London. It did nothing less then wow the judges that just happen to include Rogue One director Gareth Edwards, executive producer John Knoll of Industrial Light & Magic, and co-producer John Swartz.
If you’ve never watched a Star Wars fan film before you should really give them a try as the majority are done by die-hard Star Wars fans. The special effects in a lot of them almost look as if professionals did them. TK-436 is not only a fun film, but also one that makes you think.
If Samtubia and Samgoma can make a film like this on there own you can only wonder what they could create if they were given all the tools available at Lucasfilm helping them bring there story to life.
