Saturday September 17, 2016 was Batman day and Warner Brothers along with Zack Snyder celebrated by releasing a new image of Commissioner Gordon for Justice League and a poster The Lego Batman Movie.
Justice League is still over a year away from hitting theaters and on Saturday Zack Snyder posted an image of J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Jim Gordon standing on the roof of the GCPD, with the bat signal shining up into the night air.
Simmons who played J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man films has recently expressed how much he enjoyed playing Gordon during his time on set. Simmons has already wrapped his part in the Justice League film, but will return to the role for The Batman movie featuring Affleck in his first stand-alone Batman movie.
Not to be left out Zack Snyder also posted a picture of himself standing in front of the Bat Signal while on set of the Justice League.
Justice League hits theaters on November 10, 2017.
The Lego sized version of Batman will be coming to theaters in February of 2017 when Will Arnett’s “Batman” takes on Zach Galifianakis “Joker”. Lego Batman will also learn how to be less lonely by taking on Batgirl as a sidekick and getting to know his adopted son, Robin.
Released on the movies official Twitter account a new poster for The Lego Batman Movie could be found in celebration of Batman day.
