Incredibles 2 Teaser Trailer Released

It only took 13 years after the release of “The Incredibles,” but Disney-Pixar have finally released the very first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated sequel.

When the first Incredibles movie came out in 2004 the superhero genre as we know it now was still several years away from taking off. Fast forward thirteen years and it’s not uncommon to see as many as six superhero movies being released to theaters in the same year. The first Incredibles movie has been described as the best Fantastic Four movie ever made and many would agree, I know I do.

Disney-Pixar announced the sequel in March of 2014, nearly ten years after the first movie. Incredibles 2 was originally planned for a 2019 release, but was later moved to the date that Toy Story 4 was originally given.

The teaser trailer does not reveal anything of the plot, but what it does show us is that Jack-Jack, the Parr’s infant son has a multitude of powers. One of which is laser-vision that chops off Bob Parr’s hair when Jack-Jack sneezes. Incredibles 2 will pick up right where the first movie ended, so we won’t miss a thing when it comes to the Parr family.

Reggie’s Take:
I’m looking forward to this movie more so than I am the Han Solo, Star Wars movie and for a huge Star Wars geek like me, that’s huge.

I loved the first Incredibles movie in 2004 and when it comes to all of the movies that Pixar has released it is by far and away my favorite one. Yes the “Toy Story” movies are fabulous and “Monster Inc”, “Finding Nemo” and “Up” are also great movies, but the Incredibles take the top spot on my list.

As high as my hopes are I’m also trying to keep my expectations in check. It’s always possible that the movie could be disappointing, but with Brad Bird returning to direct and it being Pixar this movie should be nothing but awesome.

Cast: Craig T. Nelson as (Mr. Incredible/Bob Parr), with Holly Hunter as (Helen Parr/Elastigirl), Samuel L. Jackson as (Lucius/Frozone), Sarah Vowell as (Violet), Spencer Fox as (Dash), Brad Bird as (Edna Mode)

“Incredibles 2” hits theaters June 15, 2018.
