In a reality where puppets and humans co-exist The Happytime Murders takes what you may have loved about Sesame Street and The Muppets and throws it all out the window for a movie that’s far from kid-friendly.

The Happytime Murders stars Melissa McCarthy who plays a detective where humans and puppets coexist, but when the puppet cast members of a puppet TV show, The Happytime Gang, start getting murdered, McCarthy is forced to team up with a sex-crazed, alcoholic puppet.

Brian Henson, son of the late Jim Henson directs The Happytime Murders. Brian Henson also directed The Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island.

Henson while talking to SyFy.com about The Happytime Murders said… “It’s a really cool and weird and wonderful piece and it’s R-rated so it’s really odd for me. But I’m really enjoying doing it.” Henson also said its a “wild” crime thriller.

In my opinion this has to be one of the funniest trailers I have seen in sometime. This first trailer for The Happytime Murders actually dropped first in front of the Thursday night screenings of Deadpool 2 before being released on line Friday morning.
