LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

During this years Electronic Entertainment Expo, Star Wars fans were surprised to learn that a new game for 2020 is coming and no we’re not talking about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will include levels from every episodic movie in the Star Wars franchise, that will include the latest entries to the galaxy far, far away: Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Tom Stone, TT Games managing director had this to say about the latest and newest Lego game in the Star Wars universe.
“LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga marks our return to the franchise that kicked off the LEGO video game series. The game will give fans an all-new LEGO Star Wars experience with complete freedom to explore the LEGO Star Wars galaxy. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of the launch of the original LEGO Star Wars game and it’s equally exciting to now move the series forward and help create a new era of LEGO Star Wars games.”

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will see the largest roster of playable characters in LEGO Star Wars, including such characters as Luke Skywalker, Rey, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Finn, BB-8, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Kylo Ren, and many more.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will be available on the following platforms in 2020, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Reggie’s Take:
If you were wondering and you would be correct, I normally don’t post about upcoming video games, but when it comes to Lego Star Wars I will make an exception every time.

I bought the very first Lego Star Wars video game when it originally came out in 2005. At the time my wife wasn’t that interested in playing games on my Play Station counsel. Fast forward fourteen some years later and she now owns eleven Lego games including every Lego Star Wars game that have been released.

If you’ve never played a Lego Star Wars game you should give it a try sometime. Is it a little cheesy? Sure, they are made with kids in mind after all, but if you’re a big Star Wars fan like myself they are fun to play and fun to watch the scenes they recreate from the movies.
