Paramount is returning to a familiar franchise for the first time since 2011 with a new trailer for ‘Scream’.

Scream will slash its way into theaters in January with the return of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott, David Arquette’s Dewey Riley and Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers. Cox in an interview clarified how this new Scream movie fits in with the previous four: “It’s not a reboot, it’s not a remake, it’s just a brand-new launch.”

Roger L. Jackson is providing the voice of Ghostface once again. As for the actual identity of the killer, the tag line might give fans of the franchise a possible clue as it reads: “It’s Always Someone You Know.”

‘Scream’ is scheduled to hit theaters on January 14, 2022.
