During its second season Star Trek The Next Generation underwent some changes. Beverly Crusher left for Starfleet Medical and was replaced as Chief Medical Officer by Katherine Pulaski, played by Diana Muldaur.

Changes are coming to Bristol Motor Speedway
Bristol Motor Speedway owner Bruton Smith said he’ll make changes to the track. Smith did not reveal what exactly he’ll do to the track, but said in a statement an announcement could come in about two weeks.
NASCAR’s All-Star Race Gets New Format
NASCAR’s annual all-star race will be split into five segments this year, with a mandatory pit stop before the final 10-lap sprint for the $1 million prize.

Knaus & Johnson’s Penalties Overturned!
On Tuesday, NASCAR’s chief appellate officer John Middlebrook overturned a majority of the penalties levied against crew chief Chad Knaus. Knaus must still pay a $100,000 fine because Johnson’s car failed opening day inspection of the Daytona 500.
