Zack Snyder on Thursday released an image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman on Twitter that I thought was an interesting look for the character and now we may know what Aquaman’s role might be when “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters in 2016.
It’s really been no secret that such characters like Aquaman, Wonder Woman and possibly the Flash appearances in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” would only be cameos at best, no surprise there.
Now one reliable website is reporting a few interesting details about Aquaman and what his appearance in “Dawn of Justice” entails when the movie finally hits theaters in March of 2016.
According to their sources Aquaman is barely present, only showing up in a survey of metahumans by Lex Luthor and then again at the very end of the movie when Batman comes to recruit him for the Justice League.
What I’ve found interesting about that small bit of information is it looks as if they plan on using Lex Luthor to introduce the audience to most of the eventual “Super Heroes” that will eventually form the “Justice League”. That some how Luthor will know of the world’s superpowered individuals, that in it self seems an interesting way of introducing them.
My only reaction to this information is at the least, interesting. I see where Snyder and Warner Brothers are going and if it’s done well I can see it working, but I’m still a bit sceptical when it comes to Warner Brothers and DC and there plans.
Batman is one of my favorite comic characters of all time and I want it to do well, even with Affleck, but I think and most might agree, Warner Brothers and DC feel the pressure to have instant success because of Marvel.
