We all become familiar with the movie posters we see at our local theater, but what about the designs that never made it?
Harry Angelikas who’s father was an artistic designer with Paramount shared some of his private collection he has at home that pertains to the Star Trek universe with the people over at Trek Core.
A couple of the designs are final just with out the graphics the rest are early or unused works that never made the final cut.
Mr. Angelikas told the folks at Trek Core that he was sharing his collection to honor his father. Mr. Angelikas father did all of his work before such things as Photoshop or illustrator.
One of the statements that Mr. Angelikas shared with Trek Core that I liked the best was this.
“The posters look great when scanned, but seeing the actual illustrated images up close is breathtaking. I’m one lucky SOB to be able to admire these things all day — and I’m so proud of my father!”
Check out the posters below and see what you think.

They made the right choice. Too much “Village People” in some of the others, if you know what I mean.
