Doctor Strange Set Images

This weekend we got our first looks at Benedict Cumberbatch and Mads Mikkelsen, in costume on set of Marvel’s Doctor Strange currently filming in New York City.

Marvel’s Kevin Feige has said that Doctor Strange will be the most psychedelic entry in Marvel’s cinematic universe. Marvel even went so far as to hire director Scott Derrickson who’s directed such movies as “Sinister” and “The Exorcism of Emily Rose” to helm their latest entry.

On Saturday we got our first real look at Cumberbatch in full costume filming with actor Chiwetel Ejifor who’s playing “Baron Mordo”.

Then on Sunday we got our first look at Mads Mikkelsen on set and in costume filming on the streets of New York City. While Mikkelsen’s character will be going up against Cumberbatch in the movie, Marvel has yet to confirm exactly what character Mikkelsen is playing.

Doctor Strange will also star Rachel McAdams who “has a history with Strange and a fellow surgeon,” Tilda Swinton as a gender-swapped Ancient One, Benedict Wongas as Strange’s associate, plus Michael Stuhlbarg, Scott Adkins, and Amy Landecker in undisclosed roles.

Doctor Strnage is due to hit theaters on November 4, 2016.
