David Ayer’s villain-centric movie is just a little more than two weeks away from hitting theaters and Warner Brothers have begun the final push in promoting their film of the worst heroes ever, Suicide Squad.

Suicide Squad offers a unique point of view in the DC Extended Universe as it tells a story from the villain perspective. Amanda Waller played by Viola Davis assembles the worst of the worst, prisoners that are being held at Belle Reve a facility that officially does not exist.

When a threat arises, Waller assembles a villain super-group with extraordinary abilities for a highly dangerous mission, not to mention expendable.

The Suicide Squad is lead by Rick Flagg, who is basically Amanda Waller’s right hand man. Flagg leads the following villains on their mission. Deadshot (Will Smith), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Katana (Karen Fukuhara), Diablo (Jay Hernandez), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), and Slipknot (Adam Beach).

The Joker played by Jared Leto, has his own agenda. Leto will have the biggest microscope on him in this movie, as he is the first actor to play the iconic villain since the late Heath Ledger did so in Nolan’s “The Dark Knight”.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters on August 5th.
