Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Official Trailer

This December Disney and Lucasfilm will release the first stand-alone movie outside the trilogies and Thursday night the first official trailer was released for Rogue One.

Besides Rogue One being the first stand-alone movie when it hits theaters it will also see the return of everyone’s favorite villain, Darth Vader for the first time since the end of “Return of the Jedi”. I really can’t count what little you saw him at the end of “Revenge of the Sith” as that amounted to nothing more then a cameo in my book.

This first full-length trailer is about 2 minutes in length and does and excellent job in reminding the audience about the struggles of the Rebellion in its fight against the Empire.

Despite all the talk during the early part of the summer about Rogue One undergoing re-shoots this first trailer no doubt in my mind has the look and feel of a “War” movie that director Gareth Edwards has always said Rogue One would be.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story jumps into theaters December 16th.
