Wonder Woman Official Trailer

On Thursday, a new trailer for Wonder Woman was released. A movie that some might say Warner Brothers needs to be a hit with the critics as well at the box office to ensure a long and healthy DCEU franchise.

The DC film stars Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman who teams up with Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to go fight in World War One. After watching this new trailer, Wonder Woman looks to be an exciting origin story and will no doubt be the biggest superhero film with a female lead. Director Patty Jenkins and Warner Brothers appear to have the right tone and feel that in the end should do the character of Wonder Woman justice.

Wonder Woman is scheduled to hit theaters here in the States on June 17, 2017

Reggie’s Take:
If you’re a regular listener of my Podcast then it’s no secret that I haven’t liked Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad as much as I had hoped to. Yes, they were enjoyable movies for what they were, but I felt there were enough issues that the movies couldn’t live up to what the trailers at least for me seemed to promise.

Before anyone assumes I’m not a fan of Warner Brothers DCEU, don’t. My favorite super-hero of all time is Batman and the entire universe in which he exists and nothing would make me happier then to see Warner Brothers succeed with the DCEU.

Yes, I love Marvel’s MCU and have enjoyed every movie I’ve seen to date, with Iron Man being my favorite to this point, although what I saw of Black Panther in “Civil War” there could be a very close second.

I’m of the opinion there’s enough room for both Warner Brothers DCEU and Marvel’s MCU to be co-exist in theaters and both be successful. This newest trailer for Wonder Woman does not disappoint what so ever and I’m looking forward to seeing it when it comes to theaters, but at the same time I won’t be getting overly excited about the movie because of the two previous DCEU films.

Cast: Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui
