Hugh Jackman’s Logan movie will no doubt claw its way to the number one spot at the box office this weekend, but while doing so managed to surprise fans before the movie even started.
At one time it was rumored that Logan might have a post-credit scene, but later it was confirmed that it would not. James Mangold the director of Logan did tease that the movie would still arrive in theaters with some extra fun for those who go see the movie.
When Logan opened in theaters fan were treated to what amounts to a teaser trailer for Deadpool 2. Featuring Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson walking down the sidewalk in a not so good part of town. When he realizes that an older gentlemen is being mugged he dashes off to a phone booth to change into his Deadpool costume.
Reynolds released the teaser video Saturday on You Tube. If you have already scene Logan you may notice a slight difference from the teaser video you saw in theaters to the one now on line. The teaser in theaters is only about three minutes where as the one Reynolds released contains about forty seconds extra.
If your thinking to yourself that Deadpool 2 hasn’t even begun filming yet nor cast for the role of Cable, you would be right. David Lynch who previously worked on John Wick and hired to direct Deadpool 2 directed the teaser video. In all honestly this teaser falls in line with how they marketed the first Deadpool movie and the direction Deadpool 2 could take once the cameras begin rolling.
No release date has been announce for Deadpool 2 at this time.
