On Monday, Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer for Thor: Ragnarok that has a similar Thor feel, but with a new vibrant, lighter feel that works.
The first trailer for Ragnarok lets the audience know that the third film with the Asgardian warrior has high stakes for Asgard as well as Thor. Thor faces off against Hela who attacks Asgard, destroys Thor’s hammer and imprisoning the warrior.
Marvel gave us a look at some old and new faces showing up for Ragnarok. Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Karl Urban as Skurge, but you have to look quick or you might miss him. Of course you can’t have a Thor movie with out Tom Hiddleston returning as Loki sporting a new helmet and Idris Elba the Asgard gatekeeper, who now has long hair.
The best part of this first teaser trailer was the reveal of the Incredible Hulk in his battle armor and Thor happy to see him with what had to be the best part of the entire trailer if not the laugh out loud moment when Thor turns to Jeff Goldblum’s “The Grandmaster” and announces “We know each other, he’s a friend from work.”
With a fun and playful energy set to a Led Zeppelin tune the first trailer seems to suggest that Thor: Ragnarok looks to be a fun exciting adventure that doesn’t give away what Hela’s motivation is for unleashing her destruction, but gives Ragnarok a strong start leading up to its release this coming November.
Thor: Ragnarok hits theaters on November 3, 2017
Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban with Mark Ruffalo and Anthony Hopkins
Official Synopsis for Thor: Ragnarok:
