Transformers: The Last Knight Newest Trailer

Paramount and Michael Bay released their second full-length trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight on Wednesday less than a month after releasing the previous.

Has there ever been a more loved and yet hated movie franchise as the Transformers? Possibly the rebooted Star Trek movies, but I would still put Michael Bay’s Transformer movies at the top of that list.

The second full-length trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight was released on-line Wednesday by Paramount giving you more of a look at King Arthur and Transformers together. Exactly how Michael Bay is connecting King Arthur, Nazi’s, World War II with present day really hasn’t been explained, but if I were to take a guess we will get to see the connection or least one of them as the movie begins much like they did with Dark of the Moon and the moon landing.

From the look of this trailer and the one from a month ago “The Last Knight” looks as if it could be one of the darker Transformer movies. Optimus Prime going rogue as it were looks to be an interesting twist, but I seriously doubt Optimus stays bad the entire movie. I’ve also gotten the impression from watching the trailers that Earth it self is more endangered then in any of the previous movies and if the story is good and makes sense I’m okay with that.

The Transformers franchise is obviously loved by enough of the movie going audience that the two previous movies have grossed over a billion dollars world wide, but when it comes to the love of the critics and some hard core fans not so much.

For me personally I enjoy these movies for what they are, dumb fun summer popcorn movies, nothing more nothing less. Until Paramount releases one or two movies with out Michael Bay in the director’s chair we really won’t know how good or bad the Transformers franchise really is.

Transformers: The Last Knight hits theaters on June 23, 2017

Cast: Mark Wahlberg, Laura Haddock, Stanley Tucci, Jerrod Carmichael, John Goodman, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Isabela Moner, Gil Birmingham, Jean Dujardin.
