Ferdinand

by Reggie's Take

The latest animated movie from Blue Sky Studios is based on a children’s book of a misunderstood bull that is as friendly as they come.

Ferdinand is about a bull that practices non-violence instead of chasing a red cloth and prefers giving the flowers a good sniff. But after he’s taken away from everything he knows, Ferdinand has to decide if he is a bull who fights or one who smells the flowers in order to get back what he lost. Munro Leaf’s book will no doubt see changes when it comes to life up on the big screen.

WWE superstar John Cena voices the peace loving bull Ferdinand who has a big heart. This will be Cena’s first journey into the world of entertaining the kids and will no doubt help stretch his acting abilities past the action genre.

Ferdinand opens in theaters on December 15, 2017

Cast: John Cena, Kate McKinnon, Gina Rodriguez, Daveed Diggs, Gabriel Iglesias, Bobby Cannavale, David Tennant, Anthony Anderson, Flula Borg, Sally Phillips, Boris Kodjoe, Jerrod Carmichael, Raúl Esparza, Karla Martínez, and Miguel Ángel Silvestre
