Disney has been enjoying huge success with their live action adaptations of their animated classics and on Wednesday, Disney officially confirmed the full voice cast, along with a new synopsis for The Lion King.
The Lion King, the original animated movie was released in 1994 and is considered by many one of Disney’s greatest animated movies ever made. Jon Favreau who directed the live action adaptation of “The Jungle Book” will now direct one of the most anticipated remakes ever attempted.
One thing to keep in mind when they say “live action” its really all CGI, just as they did for The Jungle Book”. If you loved the original Lion King movie and your either excited or not excited about this new version, Disney did at least get the great James Earl Jones to come back and reprise his role of Mufasa.
The Lion King” roars into theaters on July 19, 2019.
