If your a fan of the yellow-and-black Autobot who speaks through the radio then your in luck as Paramount has released the first teaser trailer for Bumblebee.
Paramount made the decision to take the Transformers franchise and turn it into a full-blown cinematic universe after Age of Extinction. Unfortunately or fortunately Transformers: The Last Knight under-performed at the box office and Paramount put those plans on ice, permanently.
Bumblebee will be the first Transformers movie not directed by Michael Bay. Travis Knight who directed the animated movie Kubo and the Two String’s takes charge behind the camera for this prequel.
Bumblebee stars Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie, who comes across a broken-down VW bug in a junkyard and while trying to make repairs discovers her Junker is not what it seems. Bumblebee will take place in a small 1987 California town.
Although the first teaser trailer for Bumblebee doesn’t give us any real insight to the movies plot it’s not hard to see that this movie will look and feel very different from the Transformer movies Michael Bay gave us and that can only be a good thing.
Side Note:
I don’t want to spoil the trailer for anyone who may not have watched it yet, but I did enjoy Bumblebee’s reaction when Hailee Steinfeld’s, Charlie inserts a cassette tape into his car stereo and the song begins to play.
