Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 Trailer

Star Trek: Discovery came to San Diego Comic Con’s famous Hall H to give fans of the show a look at Season 2 with a brand new trailer.

Discovery Season 2 guest star Tig Notaro hosted an hour-long panel for the upcoming second season in what was the first time for any Star Trek film or television series to be held in Hall H.

During the hour long panel fans learned that Discovery plans to visit the home world of Doug Jones’ Saru. Anson Mount will play Captain Christopher Pike, the newcomer to the cast who can “apologize when he’s wrong” unlike Gabriel Lorca.

Alex Kurtzman teased that Jason Isaacs character of ‘Gabriel Lorca might be seen again or it could be the ‘good’ prime-universe counterpart of Season 1’s Terran impostor.

Kurztman emphasized that Season 2 will be “syncing with canon” as Discovery gets closer to the time frame of the Original Series. Some canon-related questions will also get answered in ways expected by the fans. Kurtzman also confirmed the rumors that Spock will be a part of Season 2 at some point.
