On Friday, 20th Century Fox released a final The Predator red-band trailer as the lethal hunters return to Earth in what has to be the best trailer.
Shane Black who co-starred in the original Predator movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger takes his turn in the director’s chair in attempt to revive the franchise that has been very hit and miss ever since the original.
If previous Predator movies left a bit of a sour taste in your mouth and you were on the fence about this one, Friday’s final trailer hopefully has you wanting to see it when it’s released to theaters on September 14th.
This red band trailer gave us what we expect and want to see in a Predator movie, action, humor, super violent, and plenty of blood and guts, not to mention Predators. Did the trailer show us too much of the movie? It’s possible, but even if it did I doubt it will ruin anyone’s fun or excitement.
Let’s be realistic for just a minute. Even if this trailer showed us to much and I say it didn’t, but if it did I’m pretty sure most of us can guess whats going to happen with out to much of an effort.
The Predator’s return to Earth, a group of humans try and stop them and by the time the movie ends a good majority of the human cast will have been killed with only one or two left. The Predators in the movie will have also been killed or will have found a way to escape Earth leaving an opening for a possible sequel if the movie does well at the box office.
For me personally I’m looking forward to seeing this movie. I didn’t mind 2010 “Predators” and I still enjoy watching Predator 2 with Danny Glover every now and then. However I’m not so much a fan of the Alien vs. Predator movies. Nice idea and concept just not done very well. Obviously Schwarzenegger’s Predator remains the gold standard in the franchise.
Cast: Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, Yvonne Strahovski
