Sony has released the first trailer for Men in Black: International giving audiences their first look at Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.
If you’ve already watched the trailer or your about to you will notice a couple of paintings early on in the trailer with the one on the right giving us a nod to Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones characters from the first three movies. Emma Thomson, Agent O from Men In Black 3 reprises her role for what many are calling a reboot, but is it really a reboot?
After seeing the trailer it really feels more of a continuation moving the franchise forward even though many are calling it a reboot. There are times where a full reboot is needed in order to breathe new life into a franchise, but I really didn’t get that kind of a vibe from this initial trailer.
When I realized Liam Neeson was in this movie I immediately had two thoughts about what purpose his character will serve. He either dies at some point having been Chris Hemsworth original partner or Neeson is the villain in this case the mole.
Men in Black: International opens in theaters on June 14, 2019.
Cast: Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Emma Thomson, Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Najiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois, Liam Neeson
