Sony has released the first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home that finds Peter Parker and his friends on a school trip to Europe.
If you loved 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming then you should enjoy the first trailer for Far From Home, it has humor, action, everything that made Homecoming so enjoyable.
In Homecoming we got Tony Stark the mentor/father figure Peter looks up to, with Far From Home the addition of Nick Fury pretty much makes Spider-Man feel as if he’s officially a part of the MCU even though this will technically mark the fourth film for Spider-Man in the MCU.
Jake Gyllenhaal is Mysterio and serves as the movies villain or at least that’s what I’ve always understood. They didn’t show or give much away concerning Gyllenhaal’s character and to be honest I don’t need everything spelled out for me in the first trailer.
The bigger question that has yet to be answered is Spider-Man Far From Home set before Infinity War or after the events of End Game? Although I don’t expect to get that answer until the movie comes out in July, it will be worth keeping an eye out for any possible clues as to when Far From Home is set in future trailers.
Spider-Man: Far From Home opens July 5, 2019
Cast: Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei, Cobie Smulders, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, JB Smoove, Jake Gyllenhaal
