The Mandalorian Season 2 Trailer

Disney Plus and Lucasfilm released the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of The Mandalorian. This is the way.

Season one of The Mandalorian was without a doubt an instant pop culture hit with plenty of iconic moments and characters. From “this is the way”, The Child aka “Baby Yoda” and the surprise appearance of the Darksaber had fans clamoring for season two.

Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni have both teased season two would have a larger scope while hinting that we could see some familiar characters. One such character that looks to be returning is fan favorite Boba Fett who apparently met his demise falling into the Sarlacc pit in Return of The Jedi has seemingly escaped. Actor Temuera Morrison who played Jango Fett in the prequels will return to play Boba in The Mandalorian and as exciting as that sounds do not expect to see Boba Fett appear in more than one episode.

Rosario Dawson is supposedly set to play the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, a fan-favorite character from the Star Wars: Rebels and Clone Wars series. Plus, there are reports that Katee Sackhoff will also play a live-action version Bo-Katan also from the Clone Wars.

One actress that we did see about midway through the trailer was Sasha Banks. Current rumors have her possibly playing another familiar character from Star Wars Rebels, Sabine Wren, but nothing has ever been confirmed as to who her actual character is. It is possible Banks, Dawson and Sackoff all could be playing completely different characters and we will not know for sure until season two begins streaming on October 30th on Disney Plus.

Reggie’s Take:
I loved this trailer for season two, it looked amazing and I cannot wait to begin the new season in late October.

As much as I enjoy the idea of seeing such characters like Boba Fett and Ahsoka Tano I also have reservations. What was enjoyable about season one was the fact we were seeing all new characters in all new adventures, what I do not want to see is The Mandalorian turn into a sequel for the Clone Wars or Rebels. I am not saying we’re going to see such, but it is a concern I have in the back of my mind.

Season two of The Mandalorian begins streaming October 30th on Disney Plus.
