Universal Pictures released a new F9 trailer for the highly-anticipated ninth film in the Fast & Furious franchise.
After two years of various delays the ninth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise is finally speeding towards theaters. The latest trailer offers three minutes of non-stop action, which pits Vin Diesel’s Dom Toretto against his own brother, played by John Cena.
Director Justin Lin who directed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift through Fast & Furious 6 helped take the franchise from a middle of the road action series to a global phenomenon is returning to the franchise after missing the last two installments. Lin who directed F9, will now conclude the franchise with a two-film ending of Fast and Furious 10 and Fast and Furious 11.
F9 supports a large returning cast, some who are returning to the franchise from previous installments. Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Letty Ortiz (Michelle Rodriguez), Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker (Chris “Ludacris” Bridges), Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster), Jakob Toretto (John Cena), Megan Ramsey (Nathalie Emmanuel), Magdalene Shaw (Helen Mirren), Cipher (Charlize Theron), Han Lue (Sung Kang), Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), Twinkie (Bow Wow), Earl Hu (Jason Tobin) and Cardi B as new character Leysa.
F9 is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021
