Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures released a new trailer for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune.
Denis Villeneuve who has directed Arrival and Blade Runner 2049 takes on author Frank Herbert’s novel Dune. Starring Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, a prince who travels to the desert planet Arrakis to protect the source of the most valuable substance in the universe, known as melange, or “the spice.”
Villeneuve has stated that this Dune movie will only cover the first half of Frank Herbert’s original novel, saying… “I would not agree to make this adaptation of the book with one single movie, the world is too complex. It’s a world that takes its power in details.” Villeneuve has written a full treatment for a possible sequel, but when that might happen is unknown at this time.
Dune hits theaters and HBO Max on October 22. You can check out the new trailer and synopsis below.

It looks good but man is Dune boring. It took me forever to finish the book… and I ran through Wheel of Time in less than a year!
