Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – Teaser

After a huge opening weekend at the theaters with Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel has waisted no time in releasing the first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

The Doctor Strange sequel sees Sam Raimi, known for directing the Tobey Maguire’s “Spider-Man” trilogy in the 2000s take over the directing duties for Scott Derrickson who stepped down from the Multiverse of Madness due to creative differences with Marvel.

Marvel’s next MCU movie sees Doctor Strange catching up with Wanda Maimoff after the events of Loki, WandaVision and Spider-Man: No Way Home as Strange is seen dealing with further fall-out from his spell-gone-wrong that had huge consequences in “No Way Home.” In the trailer we get a look at an evil, alternate version of Doctor Strange, who originally appeared in the animated Disney Plus series “What If…?,” has now crossed over to cause problems in the main MCU.

Along with Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will also feature Benedict Wong (Wong), Rachel McAdams (Dr. Christine Palmer), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Karl Mordo). Xochitl Gomez will debut as America Chavez, who has the power to punch holes into different realities, which will obviously come into play. You can check out the trailer below.

“Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” comes to theaters on May 6, 2022.
