To Infinity and…a new trailer has been released for Disney and Pixar’s “Lightyear” that is an origin story for “Toy Story’s” Buzz Lightyear.
In this new trailer we learn that Buzz and crew have been marooned for a year on a remote planet as Buzz blasts off in a test flight that eventually finds him on an alien world being pursued by robots. Lightyear introduces us to the “real-life” space ranger Buzz Lightyear starring Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz.
Chris Evans takes over the roll as it were from Tim Allen, who voiced the plastic astronaut alongside Tom Hanks who voiced Woody, in the “Toy Story” franchise that spawned four movies.
Disney and Pixar also revealed the entire voice cast featuring of course Chris Evans along with Keke Palmer, Dale Soules and Taika Waititi who play a trio of astronaut recruits. Lightyear will also feature the voices of Uzo Aduba, James Brolin, Mary McDonald-Lewis, Efren Ramirez and Isiah Whitlock Jr. Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino, will score “Lightyear.”
