Birthday Present

A young man wished to purchase a gift for his new sweetheart’s birthday, and as they had not been dating very long, after careful consideration he decided a pair of gloves would strike the right note – romantic, but not too personal.

Accompanied by his sweetheart’s younger sister, he bought a pair of white gloves; the younger sister purchased a pair of panties for herself. Read more »

Jurassic Park

Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III to debut as a trilogy set on Blu-ray  (Tuesday) October 25, 2011. Jurassic Park in my mind is Steven Spielberg at his best. He allows you to escape into a fantasy world and belive it. Jurassic Park is one of my top 10 movies of all time and no matter how many times I watch it on video or cable I still enjoy it as if it was the first time.

To celebrate Jurassic Park coming to Blu-Ray I’ve posted some stills from one of my favorite scenes in the movie. Read more »

Dan Wheldon

NASCAR Honoring Wheldon

NASCAR is providing all its teams a decal that honors Dan Wheldon to place on their cars this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. The two-time Indianapolis 500 winner was killed Sunday in the IndyCar season finale at Las Vegas. Many NASCAR drivers knew Wheldon.

The decal is of the Lionheart Knight image that Wheldon affixed to the back of his helmets. NASCAR is also producing a helmet decal for any drivers who would like to use them.

Some drivers already have their own plans in place to honor Wheldon, including Brad Keselowski, who will have ”In Honor of Dan” written across his back bumper.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

 The Complete Third Season

Came out on Tuesday to DVD and Blu-ray. I actually enjoy the Clone Wars series and have been following it since it debuted on the Cartoon Network. The story lines have for the most part been very enjoyable. When I first started watching it I was a little annoyed with Asoka, but over time she has become less annoying to me. I think the writers have found what works with her and I’m very curious as to how they will write her fate when they decide to end the series. Read more »

Afternoon Quickie

Joe and Wanda had a small apartment in the city and they decided that the only way to pull off a Sunday afternoon quickie with

their ten-year-old son in the apartment was to send him out on the balcony and order him to report on all the neighbourhood activities.

To a young boy, they thought, spying would be a lot of fun and would distract him for an hour or so. Read more »

Season 2 M*A*S*H

M*A*S*H Season 2

Season 2 of M*A*S*H aired from 1973-1974

Season 2 of M*A*S*H for me has several episodes with McLean Stevenson as Colonel Henry Blake in charge that I really like.
First one would have to be Deal Me Out followed by The Chosen People, The Trial of Henry Blake, Crisis, Mail Call. Overall I think season 2 is probably the funniest of the three season with McLean Stevenson. That doesn’t mean I think there are some funny episodes in season 1 and 3, there are, but overall as a whole I feel there are more in the second. Read more »

Red and Andy

The Shawshank Redemption

Red: I’m known to locate certain things from time to time.
Andy: I wonder if you might get me a rock-hammer.
Red: …What is it and why?
Andy: What do you care?
Red: What if it was a toothbrush? I wouldn’t ask questions. I’d just quote a price. But then, a toothbrush is a non-lethal object, isn’t it?
Andy: Fair enough. A rock-hammer is about six or seven inches long. Looks like a miniature pick-axe.
Red: Pick-axe? Read more »

Daughters are Curious

A little girl walks into her parents’ bathroom and notices for the First time, her father’s nakedness.

Immediately, she is curious: he has equipment that she doesn’t have. She asks, “What are those round things hanging there, daddy?”

Proudly, he replies, “Those, sweetheart, are God’s Apples of Life.

Without them we wouldn’t be here.”

Puzzled, she seeks her mommy out and tells her what daddy has said.

To which mommy asks, “Did he say anything about the dead branch they’re hanging from?”

Cheap Beer

A man walks into a bar one night. He goes up to the bar and asks for a beer. “Certainly, sir, that’ll be 1 cent.”

“One penny?!” exclaimed the guy.

The barman replied, “Yes.”

So, the guy glances over at the menu, and he asks, “Could I have a nice juicy T-bone steak, with fries, peas, and a salad?” Read more »
