Time to pull the tarp? The New Batmobile

Zack Snyder it seems decided to toy with movie fans on Monday by giving us a small and I mean small glimpse as to what Ben Affleck will drive around as Batman.

The past few weeks Snyder has hinted that some images of the new look Batman could be released, but no images have been seen. Then in a Twitter post Zack Snyder finally gives us a small look with a teaser that more could be revealed as early as today (Tuesday).

Even though we can’t see under the tarp to well, we can assume the vehicle is clearly a longer, more aerodynamic vehicle. No idea though if the cockpit is designed for Batman only or if there’s room for two.

My take is they have pulled inspiration from several different versions. The length, giving it more of a car like feel like the one used by Michael Keaton in 1989. The rear of the vehicle seems to have taken a little from the Tumbler driven around by Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy.

I would totally be okay with something close to the Batmobile that we will see in the video game Batman: Arkham Knight due to hit stores in October. I realize it wouldn’t show much originality on Snyder’s part or Warner Brothers, but not knowing what the new suit looks like or how good or bad Affleck’s Batman might be, it would at least something to look forward to.

If Snyder is willing to reveal Batman’s new ride we can only hope Batman’s new suit won’t be to far behind. My guess the overall look of the new Batmobile may give us a clue as to what the suit may look like.

  1. I maintain to this day that Keaton had the best Batmobile – I loathed the glow in the dark Scorpion Batmobile from Batman Forever (why Scorpion?)
