Paramount premiered the newest trailer for “Star Trek Beyond” last night at a fan event in Los Angeles, which finds the crew in the midst of their five-year mission.
After harsh criticisms by some fans and critics in reactions to the first trailer Paramount released for “Beyond” this second trailer is far more character based.
Simon Pegg who co-wrote “Beyond” and director Justin Lin were quick to release statements saying the first trailer was not an accurate representation of the movie and it’s obvious that someone at Paramount listened to them and the fans as a result seem to have gotten a trailer that supports what Pegg and Lin were saying.
It was also revealed at the event Friday night that “Star Trek Beyond” will make its world premiere at Comic Con in San Diego on July 20th. “Beyond” will be the world’s very first outdoor IMAX screening that will include a live orchestra. Sounds pretty awesome if you ask me.
Star Trek Beyond hits theaters in the U.S. on July 22, 2016. Directed by Jusyin Lin
