Saturday at Comic-Con in San Diego, Warner Brothers released a new extended trailer for the upcoming Justice League movie introducing us to Steppenwolf.
This newest trailer for justice League is not your typical in length coming in at four minutes. With plenty of light-hearted moments and the first glimpses of Steppenwolf that are quick to go by and never giving a good full view of the movies villain.
The one thing I have liked so far about Warner Brothers marketing for Justice League is the absence of Superman in the trailers and the posters. I understand that Superman will be returning from the dead at some point with in the movie, but I would rather be surprised as to when and how once the movie hits theaters.
The big ugly black eye going into Warner Brothers Comic-Con panel on Saturday was The Hollywood Reporter post from Friday saying that Ben Affleck would be out as Batman after Justice League and while up on stage with the rest of his co-stars, Ben Affleck addressed the issue head on saying.
“I am the luckiest guy in the world. Batman is the coolest fucking part in any universe. DC, Marvel, it’s incredible and I’m so thrilled to do it. I know there’s this misconception because I didn’t direct it, that maybe I wasn’t enthusiastic about it. It’s fucking amazing and I still can’t believe it after two films and having this history with this great studio and Kevin Tsujihara and Sue Kroll and Toby Emmerich have said to me, ‘We want you to be our Batman’ and I believe them. And Matt Reeves doing it, I would be a fucking ape on the ground for Matt Reeves. Nevermind, being Batman. It’s incredible. So, I’m really blown away and excited and it’s a great time in the DC Universe and you’re going to see some stuff from Justice League that I’m really, really proud of. And I think you’ll see why I’m so excited to be Batman.”
Also check out the very cool new poster Warner Brothers released as well.
