Are you a fan of the movie “Die Hard”? Do you see it as a Christmas movie or a movie that takes place during Christmas? Well whatever side you fall on a new book coming out will continue the debate.
There are many out there who see the movie Die Hard as a Christmas movie, but not in the traditional sense and others who see it as a movie that just takes place at Christmas. Personally I’m one of those who feel that Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie.
Yes, the movie takes place during Christmas, but Christmas is not the central theme of the movie, the heist of the Nakatomi building is the movies main backdrop. Christmas just happens to be the time of the year, but enough on that.
If your family watches the movie every year during Christmas then you may want to add a new holiday children’s book based on the adventures of John McClane to your routine.
“A Die Hard Christmas: The Illustrated Holiday Classic” will tell the story of a New York cop who single-handedly defeats a group of European terrorists. The children’s book was written by Doogie Horner, and illustrated by JJ Harrison and was inspired by the classic Christmas poem, Twas the Night Before Christmas.
The book goes on sale on October 17th and even though it’s being called a “children’s book” it would probably be best if your kid didn’t actually read it as a majority of the illustrations remain very violent and true to what happened in the movie.
