Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Dolittle a reimagining of the classic story of a veterinarian who can talk to animals.
Dr. John Dolittle (Robert Downey Jr.) who can talk to animals sets out to find a cure in order to help a young Queen Victoria (Jessie Buckley) recover after becoming seriously ill. Dolittle stars Robert Downey Jr. in his first starring role since his dramatic exit as Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man, in Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame.
Downey’s last non MCU role was 2014’s The Judge that earned just over $84 million worldwide and received mixed reviews from critics. Universal had some concerns with the tone and flow of Dolittle and will be hoping for better results after spending $175 million, including reshoots.
