Scoob! Teaser Trailer

Warner Brothers has released the first official teaser trailer for Scoob! a modern update of how Scooby and Shaggy meet.

The first teaser trailer for Scoob! begins with Shaggy and Scooby-Doo sitting in a movie theater and Scooby doing his best trailer guy voice. “In a world destroyed by evil, discover the epic origin story of the greatest team of heroes in the history of mystery.”

Legendary and longtime voice actor Frank Welker is voicing scooby-Doo. Shaggy, voiced by Will Forte, meets Scooby as a stray and names him Scooby Dooby Doo after a box of Scooby Snacks so that a cop doesn’t take the young puppy to the pound. Eventually Shaggy and Scooby run into a young Fred, Daphne, and Velma on Halloween and the rest is history as it were as Mystery Inc. as we know it is formed.

Reggie’s Take:
I like that Scooby and the gang are returning to the big screen, even it’s in animated form. I would of loved to have seen another live action film, but I feel that may not happen for some time, although I did love the 2002 and 2004 incarnations.

Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed was without a doubt my favorite as it reminded what it was I loved most about the original animated series that debuted in 1969. The one disappointment I have with the voice cast for Scoob! is that Matthew Lillard is not voicing Shaggy. Will it dampen my spirits for wanting to see Scoob? No.

Even though I was excited for this teaser trailer, much like the recent animated Addams Family movie I didn’t find much about the Scoob! teaser that made me laugh. It doesn’t mean I feel the movie won’t be enjoyable or funny; I just wasn’t as impressed as I had hoped to be.
