Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures have released the first trailer for a monstrous showdown, Godziilla vs. Kong.
The trailer was released Sunday morning, on Warner Bros.’ YouTube channel as it gives fans their first look at the monstrous showdown between Godzilla and King Kong. The two titans exchange blows on an aircraft carrier that sees Kong knocking Godzilla back into the ocean as the epic battle for the ages begins.
Warner Bros. has moved the movies release date multiple times due to the pandemic, originally scheduled for a 2020 release on March 13, May 22, May 29 and November of 2020 before being moved to a May 21, 2021 release, now set for a March 26th release nationwide to theaters and HBO Max.
“Godzilla vs. Kong,” was announced back in 2015 as a crossover between the “Godzilla” and “King Kong” franchises, which includes 2014’s Godzilla, 2017’s “Kong: Skull Island” and “Godzilla: King of the Monsters”. “Godzilla vs. Kong,” is directed by Adam Wingard, best known for such films as “Death Note” and “Blair Witch”.
