What is the best way to celebrate Captain Picard Day? Easy, Paramount Plus released its second teaser trailer for season two of Star Trek: Picard.
Season one of Star Trek: Picard premiered in early 2020 and season two is still in production and set to return sometime in 2022. Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) who had been retired from Star Fleet in season one looks to have found trouble once again with the return of fan favorite “Q” (John de Lancie) returning to the Star Trek franchise. One wonders if this is the first time, they have seen one another since “All Good Things,” should be fun to watch and find out.
Season 1 of Picard ended with some dramatic changes, especially for Picard, and it looks like that will continue as the series moves forward into season 2. The other big surprise in the teaser came with Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), who wakes up to some surprising changes and more than one reveal in the final moments of the teaser.
Returning alongside Patrick Stewart for season two is of course John de Lancie with Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Evan Evagora, Michelle Hurd, Santiago Cabrera. Two former Next Generation cast members are also expected to appear with Whoopi Goldberg as Guinan and Brent Spiner who also appeared in season one, who would most likely be returning as Altan Inigo Soong. The chances he also returns as B4 or Data would be unlikely as they completed Data’s arc at the end of season one of Picard.
I can’t wait to sit down and watch season two of Star Trek: Picard with a nice cup of Earl Grey tea.
