Masters of the Universe: Revelation Official Teaser

Netflix has released the first official teaser for Masters of the Universe: Revelation a sequel to the original 1980’s animated series.

The original 1980’s animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe debuted in September of 1983 and ran until 1985, consisting of two seasons and 130 episodes. Reruns continued to air in syndication until 1988.

Masters of the Universe: Revelation, according to showrunner and executive producer Kevin Smith, is a sequel to the original animated series. The teaser leans heavy on the action, showing Skeletor and He-Man fighting, several other battles and Battle Cat all set to Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero”.

Netflix announced a special, entitled Revelations: The Master of the Universe Revelation Aftershow a 25-minute episode hosted by Kevin Smith, executive producer and Vice President, Content Creative, Mattel Television Rob David, Tiffany Smith, who voices Andra and many of the voice actors from the show.

Part one of Master of the Universe: Revelation, consisting of five episodes, premieres on July 23rd on Netflix.
