The rebooted Star Trek film franchise has stirred plenty of emotions good and bad with “Trekkie’s” and with the 50th anniversary just over a year away, filming on the third movie is about to get underway.

Paramount after booting Roberto Orci from the directors chair a little over two weeks ago has now decided on a new director to helm the third instalment of the rebooted sci-fi franchise.
It was just over a week ago when I posted that William Shatner had confirmed to the world that he had indeed been contacted about appearing in the next Star Trek movie and now it seems we may know how.
William Shatner tweeted out that nobody contacted him about Star Trek 3, when it was rumored he had been asked about possibly appearing in the next Star Trek movie. Apparently the rumors might have actually been correct.
With Hollywood’s non-stop onslaught of remakes and big budget over the top blockbusters it seems there will be no change for 2016.
